Every good story somehow starts with a warm sunny morning. Well, it was definitely raining the day Otto decided to get back on track with regular exercising. He walked all the way to the gym only to realize that he didn’t bring his trainers. The decision he made upon that realization, believe it or not, turned out to be of existential importance when it comes to Haljas.
Otto was working full-time as a developer of private residences whereas Karl earned his living crafting bespoke furniture. They were both simultaneously tired of starting new projects one after another and the idea of creating something permanent had long been in the back of their minds.
Persistent brainstorming led them to a few concepts, but it only clicked when instead of going back home, Otto decided to do the only thing in the facility you could do without your footwear – go straight to the sauna.
Sitting there in the warmth and knowing the weather outside, Otto already had a smile on his face. In this rather dark steam room, his smile kept growing bigger as he put together a whole concept for their very first product – Hele Sauna.
As Rauno, with his years of experience in the field of computer-aided design rang up Otto a few days later and expressed similar feelings towards his working environment, it soon became clear that if the three of them sat down, things would inevitably start to happen.
When it comes to the similarities that bind our team, it is not only the affection for architecture and design but a long list of principles we hold dear. The rational, genuine, and understanding demeanor of us as individuals are what best describes the attitude we are applying and maintaining in all quarters of our house. One of the core values at Haljas is spending quality time with our beloved ones and this social-mindedness is predominantly felt within our products. We find that people get carried away in their fast-paced lifestyles and often need to be persuaded to hop off the wheel. So what are we doing? We are fulfilling your living environment with physical, irresistible reminders to put everything else on pause and spend a few idle hours with the ones that matter most.
