About Amoretti Brothers

"We believe in sustainable luxury which is why we design our products for long-term durability that saves money and helps the environment."

Family Matters

Amoretti Brothers is a company founded by a family of four brothers raised in idyllic Turin, Italy. It was in Italy that we initially had our dream of establishing a company that could design and manufacture the best handmade products through excellent craftsmanship. We moved to Mexico in 2002 to follow that dream and we specialized in working copper and brass. In 2006, we established Amoretti Brothers. Starting with only few products and big dreams, Amoretti Brothers has grown to have a factory where we manufacture high-end copper kitchen tools, custom range hoods, and finely crafted

Between Mexico, USA and Italy. A story of design and craftsmanship.

Amoretti Brothers has a vision: that design and craftsmanship are intimately related. The utmost harmony between these two principles results in products with solid personality, style, and innovation. This is the philosophy that drives our top-notch copper craftsmanship.

Production and distribution.

In 2009, Amoretti Brothers built its workshop on 3 hectares of virgin land near the Monarch butterfly biosphere. This scenic location became home to 2,000 square meters of space that serves as our workshop, archives, office, factory store, and living space for workers and visitors. We control the design, production, and worldwide distribution of all our handmade products.

Today.

The “green” spirit of Amoretti brothers lives on in its use of only high-quality natural materials and our investment into Tlapujahua’s community. We believe in equal opportunity hence we hire equal numbers of male and female local artisans. Through our business practices, we strive to create the custom copper products for you while supporting those who made them and protecting the natural environment.

Product Care

  • Polished Copper will begin to patina as it reacts with its environment. However, if the desire is to maintain the bright, polishedlook, it is easy to protect.
  • For basic cleaning, use mild soap and warm water.
  • Abrasives should never be used as they may affect the finish.
  • When the copper begins to patina a quality copper polish cream and any good copper wax to maintain its original shine and luster.
  • Copper, as well brass, is a durable materials, however, it is soft and can be scratched, scuffed and dented fairly easily. Keep that in mind when bringing glasses, utensils and cleaning materials into contact with your sink or tubs.
  • For ordinary cleaning, use nothing but a soft, clean cloth and mild dish detergent followed by a thorough clear water rinse.
  • Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth.
  • Stains and tarnish should be removed with a small amount of good quality brass or copper cleaner. Rub lightly to lift the discoloration, let dry, then polish with a soft, clean, dry cloth.
  • Minor surface scuff and very light scratches can be removed with fine automotive rubbing compound followed by brass polish.
  • Deeper scratches may require wet sanding with "wet or dry" sandpaper followed by rubbing compound, finishing with brass polish. The severity of the scratch determines the coarseness of the sandpaper grit with which to start.
  • For very deep scratches we suggest starting with 220 grit followed by grits of 320, 400 and 600 progressively. In all cases use the finest grit that will work to remove the scratch. We do not recommend any paint-type coatings be applied to the sink, as the coating will eventually wear through, leaving you with two dissimilar surface materials to maintain - neither of which complements the other. A bare brass or copper sink can always be brought back to a bright mirror polish with readily available materials (and elbow grease), even if it becomes badly scratched and tarnished.

NOTE: The oils from your hands will cause the metal to oxidize faster in those areas than in others. Over time it will all blend in as the rest of the metal oxidizes, but if you happen to get some unsightly fingerprints showing up on your copper product early, they can easily be removed by polishing with a proper copper polish. We recommend a polish called Brasso, which is available at most hardware stores.
  • TO AVOID ANY PROBLEM, WE ALWAYS RECOMMEND A PROFESSIONAL INSTALL YOUR LIGHTS.
  • Fixtures should only require light dusting to stay beautiful
  • If you find yourself needing to clean your fixture, use only the mildest soaps, softest cloths, and gentle pressure.
  • Our lights do not come with a bulb. Please read the tech spec of each product before buying it.
  • If your fixtures are made from unlacquered copper or brass, they will develop a patina over time.
  • Use gloves when handling and installing unlacquered fixtures to avoid fingerprints and smudges.
  • The oils from your hands will cause the metal to oxidize faster in those areas than in others. Over time it will all blend in as the rest of the metal oxidizes, but if you happen to get some unsightly fingerprints showing up on your light early, they can easily be removed by polishing with a proper copper polish.
