- 5-STAGE FILTRATION: Horizon combines a 4-in-1 filter (PHZF-21) with an optional ionization feature to create a 5-stage filtration system. The filter includes a pre-filter, woven HEPA-type filter, granulated carbon filter, and cold catalyst filter.
- OVER 635 GRAMS OF GRANULATED CARBON: Horizon effectively reduces dust, smoke, pollen, pet dander, airborne mold and bacteria, odors, and VOCs. The granulated carbon filter features a honeycomb structure and contains over 1.4 pounds of carbon, for powerful reduction of odors, harmful gases, and VOCs such as formaldehyde.
- INTELLIGENT ION: On-demand intelligent ion feature emits negatively charged ions into the air to attract and reduce allergens, dust, and airborne bacteria.

How many cubic feet does your filter purify?AHAM recommends that the air filter CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) rating, multiplied by 12, should be equal to or greater than the cubic feet volume of the room. Brondell’s smoke CADR rating is 157, therefore our recommended room size is 1884 cubic feet. However, the room can be a bit larger and the product will still perform very well, as CADR rating does not take into account other Brondell filtration methods (such as carbon, which reduces odor and VOCs). This is my first experience with a Brondell product and I am sold! If I'm being completely honest I didn't even know the benefits of an air purifier before I bought one. But with the fires on the west coast this past summer I figured it wouldn't be bad to own one! Here is my breakdown of why I am so sold on this product: 1. I have one cat and I did not realize how much dirt and grime were floating around in the air because of her! The proof is in the amount of cat hair and dander that is on the pre-filter 2. I despise any light or noise when I sleep, like it's honestly a real big problem. This is SO quiet & the light does not bother me at all. a true miracle! 3. The filters are reasonably priced, you can run it 24/7, and the customer service seems great (even though I haven't needed it because the product has worked seamlessly & it shipped/was delivered right on time!) Thank you Brondell for making superior products for a very reasonable price in a world where it seems like products are made to last about 6 months and then end up in a landfill. You guys are the best!
Easy to understand how to operate the unit. Fan is quiet on low setting. After 2 weeks I opened the unit to clean the filter, as instructions suggest, and found the plastic neeed to be wiped down to remove pet hair and dirt. I didn't expect that so soon. Looks to me like this unit is working like it's supposed to by cleaning the air in my house. So far we really like the air purifier. It looks great too!!!
