Swash Electronic Bidet Water Filter
Extend the life of your bidet toilet seat with an inline water filter. Brondell's Swash universal water filter is ideal for all models of electronic Swash advanced toilet seats and offers six months of continuous use. It also works with any major brand electronic bidet toilet seats (with 1/2" standard connection).
Brondell Swash 1400's easy-to-replace, 6-month active carbon deodorizer cartridges ensure that all bad odors and smells are neutralized at the source, leaving your bathroom fresh and clean. It does not cover or mask odors but eliminates them by removing air from the toilet bowl, passing it through the replaceable filter, and expelling the clean air through the vent in the back of the Swash.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Swash?A Swash is an advanced toilet seat that offers men, women, and children a fresh and hygienic cleansing using two retractable wash wands for posterior and feminine areas. Swash bidets are great for children, and they are wonderful for parents with children who are potty-trained but not yet able to clean themselves. Those who are elderly, or who have limited mobility or other limitations, can especially benefit from using the Swash. |
How does a Swash work? The Swash replaces your existing toilet seat. Unlike traditional versions, it has a heated seat and delivers a warm-water wash with temperature, pressure, and nozzle position adjustability (features vary by model.) Two self-cleaning, retractable wands are used, one for the posterior wash and another for the feminine wash. All functions are easily operated at the turn of a dial (Swash 100, 101 & 102) or at the push of a button with a wireless remote control (Swash 300, 900, 1000, 1200, 1400, LT99, LE99, CL1700 and CL825). The Swash LE99, CL1700, CL950, DS725, SE600, 1000, 1400 also include a warm air dryer for a complete "hands-free" experience, as well as a deodorizer and other special features. |
Is a Swash safe and reliable? All electronic Brondell Swash bidet seats are either cETL or cUL approved for electrical safety in the United States and Canada. The Swash SE400, SE600, IS707, DS725, CL510 CL950, 900, 1000, CL825, 1200, and 1400 models are UPC (Universal Plumbing Code) certified by the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO) for the US market and the Swash 1200 & 1400 bidet seat models are cUPC certified which includes the Canadian market. |
Is a Swash easy to install?Brondell Swash products are designed to be easily installed by the user. A standard installation can take as little as 20 minutes! Our bidets will come with everything needed for a standard installation. |
How do I operate the Swash? Each Swash model is designed with its own unique feature set and operates according to the specs of those capabilities. Some models feature adjustable heated seats, wash width and temperature controls, pressure settings, and nozzle adjustability. Many models feature two self-cleaning retractable nozzles - one posterior nozzle for males and females, and one feminine wash nozzle for female hygiene. In all models except the Swash 101 & 102 Ecoseat, these electronic bidet features are easily controlled at the touch of a wireless or sidearm remote control. Consult your owner's manual to see just which custom features your particular bidet seat includes and use the remote function to select and operate the perfect wash experience for your needs. If you have a Swash 101 or 102 Ecoseat, simply use the adjustable pressure controls on the side of the seat to engage both feminine and posterior aerated washes. |
What is the Heated Seat feature? The heated seat feature is controlled by the user. It can be set to one of three temperature settings, or simply turned off. Some Swash bidet toilet seats also feature an Eco Mode that turns the heated seat function to the low setting until the seat sensor is triggered by a user. |
What is the duration of the wash and how long does the warm water last?Pressing the 'REAR' or 'FRONT' button on the remote control starts the 2-minute wash cycle. Pressing this button once again at any point in that cycle starts the 2-minute cycle from the beginning. The ‘STOP’ button will stop the cycle at any point. Depending on your Swash model, the bidet will either have a warm water tank reservoir or an instant ceramic heating system.
|
What is the difference between the front and rear washes? The front wash offers a feminine cleanse while the rear wash offers a posterior wash for both men and women. |
Do the wands ever "get in the way"?No, the wash wands are only extended during the cleaning cycle. At all other times they are housed inside the unit to avoid being contaminated. As a further safeguard, the wands clean themselves with a high-pressure spray of water before and after each use. The Swash 1000 and 1400 also offer nozzle sterilization. |
Is the Swash covered by Medicare or Medicaid? You may be able to get coverage particularly with the state-level Medicaid, but you should check with your doctor and/or insurance provider for more information. If you have a medical condition that a hygienic bidet toilet seat can help, then your doctor may be able to prescribe a Swash bidet for you and you may be eligible to receive insurance coverage for it. |
What is the length of the power cord?
The power cord length for Swash models S300/S900/S1000/S1200/S1400 is 3.5 feet. |
What type of outlet is needed?A 15 or 20 amp GFCI outlet, rated for 120V/60Hz. |
What are the interior hole dimensions of the bidet seat? The interior hole of the elongated-size Swash is 11.5"L x 8"W. The interior hole of the round-size Swash is 10.75” x 8”. |
What is the weight limit of the Swash?Swash models S1200/S1400 has a seat limit of 330 lbs, and lid limit of 270 lbs. |
What colors are available for the Swash? While most of our products come in white the Swash 1400 is available in white and biscuit. If you are looking to match your new Swash with an existing toilet, our color recommendations for American Standard, Kohler, and Toto toilets are as follows:
Biscuit
|
Where is the Swash manufactured and serviced? The Swash is manufactured in Korea. All of Brondell's products are serviced in San Francisco, CA, USA. |
How are the nozzles sterilized? The nozzle sterilization is located inside of the Brondell Swash 1000 and 1400 and consists of ceramic balls that are covered in silver ion particles. When the nozzle sterilization button is pushed (when you are NOT using the Swash to clean yourself) the water is redirected through these balls, picks up these silver ions, and becomes charged. When that charged water flows over the stainless steel nozzles, the nozzles then become sterilized. Silver is a very powerful natural antibacterial agent that keeps the nozzles clean and corrosion-free for a longer nozzle life and provides the highest level of hygiene available. |
How does the deodorizer work? Is it scented? The deodorizer is a fan that pulls the air out of the toilet bowl through an activated charcoal filter. The filter does not add any additional fragrances; it just neutralizes the odors in the toilet bowl. More details can be found HERE. |
What is Eco Mode?Eco Mode only affects the seat heating part of the bidet. Ten minutes after the seat is no longer in use, the bidet senses no one is sitting on the bidet and will go to Eco Mode. If the seat temperature is set to Medium or High, the seat temperature will drop to LOW. If the seat temperature is on LOW or OFF, there will be no change. Turning off Eco Mode will enable the seat to be on the MEDIUM (Pink) or HIGH (Red) temperature setting even when the user isn’t using the bidet and will be the desired temperature when the user sits down on the seat. Instructions for canceling Eco Mode can be found in the Special Operations section of the Owner’s Manual. |
What does the seat sensor do? Brondell Swash bidets are equipped with a safety sensor. You will be unable to start a wash without being seated. The sensors on the Brondell Swash seats are not weight sensors, but moisture sensors that sense when they have made contact with skin. |
What maintenance is required?Swash seats are made of germ-resistant plastic. They can be cleaned with a soft, wet cloth and a gentle cleaner. For complete cleaning, the Swash features a quick release from the mounting bracket. Although Swash wands are self-cleaning, Brondell recommends the nozzles be cleaned with a soft brush monthly or as needed. Brondell recommends that the removable mesh filter is cleaned on a regular basis as needed. |
What are bidet filters? How often should they be replaced? If your home uses hard water, well water, or softened water, we recommend using an external bidet filter. The bidet filters can last up to 6 months depending on water quality. Installation and purchase information can be found HERE. |

I just got this Today. I was very excited. It only took me about twenty minites to hook it up, and try all the cool features out. This is my second bidet, the last one was a cheaper one. yes it is very true, that you get what you pay for. Just like it says. Luxury, all the way baby. I love the heated seat, blue light in the bowl. you can't go wrong with this catillac of bidets, and a three year warranty too. this is the one that I would recommend, for sure.
I've been using my bidet for a week and love it! Water comes out nicely warm, it's easy to adjust the position of the jets, the seat warms up fast (I don't leave it always in), and even the dryer function is nice. Overall, a great purchase. I just miss the Japanese singing that I heard when I first tried an over-the-toilet bidet on a trip. The Japanese improved the European bidet and this model has the best features.
We initially included the Swash 1400 elongated as part of our recent bathroom remodel because we thought it would add a modern look to our new toilet. We had no idea how much we would love it! We used to go through a roll of paper a day, now we're down to 3 a week. I look forward to needing the bathroom now. Truly life-changing! Thank you Brondell.
I bought my first Brondell Swash 1400 a month ago, during a bathroom remodel. I've had two sets of guests since then and they have really loved using the bidet!! I just bought another for the kids toilet! It's getting installed this week! And soon I'll be remodeling the master bath and will be buying a third one (maybe win one)!! It is a great product and I love all the options! Highly recommend this product, it is well worth the money!! :)
My husband and I purchased the Brondell 1400 several weeks ago and were both thankful and happy when it arrived. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we thought that there might be a chance they would be sold out. It saves so much money on TP and has many features that other bidets don't provide. Our bathroom is small and sometimes I want to sit down to put shoes/socks on, dry my hair, etc. Therefore, I was really sold on the Brondell when it mentioned that you can safely sit down on it with the cover down. Other brands don't mention that feature .It's a great investment and is built to last! BTW, love the blue light!!!
