Safety… one step at a time.
The P.T.Rail Angled is a high-quality, commercial-grade, fold-down rail for use on short staircases. The P.T.Rail Angled is intended for moderate vertical and horizontal load bearing to provide assistance and support for people with reduced mobility. The P.T.Rail Angled is intended to bear weight ONLY when the handle is in the down position; the handle is not intended to bear weight in any other position. The P.T.Rail Angled handle is intended to be folded up when not in use. A friction hinge ensures that the handle will not inadvertently lower when it is in the up position. The P.T.Rail
Angled is installed with appropriate fasteners to a structural wall.
Designed for additional support when going up and down 2-3 stairs, the PT Rail Angled mounts to the wall and can be lifted out of the way when not in use. It can be adjusted between 0 and 35 degrees to suit the angle of the stairs it’s mounted beside.
A solid rail designed for 2-3 steps at a time. The adjustable angled rail provides extra support when going up and down several stairs – often used for garages, covered walkways and sunken living rooms.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the PT Rail Angled be installed outside? The PT Rail Angled is made from steel, which is water resistant but not waterproof. We recommend usage in covered environments (i.e. garages, landings, etc.), and not to exposed the product to harsh weather conditions. |
Does the whole plate have to secure to the studs? Or is drilling 2 bolts into the stud sufficient? No. All 4 mounting points of the PT Rail Angled must secure to structural wood. The (supplied) lag bolts must be installed into structural wood framing. If the wall is concrete, appropriate wall anchors and bolts are required (not included). |
Are the PT Rail Angled rails offset like the PT Rail? No, the PT Rail Angled rails are not offset. Unlike usage beside a toilet, the fold down rail can be used beside stairs to provide a secure 'railing' function that can be folded out of the way when not in use. |
