Warranty
One-Year Limited Warranty
When properly installed and under normal conditions of use, James Martin Vanities (“James Martin”) products are warrantied against defects in material or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase from a James Martin distributor (the “Warranty”). James Martin retains the right to determine if a product is defective, and its judgment shall be final in such matters. For vanity tops, this Warranty does not apply to any quartz stone tops, which have a separate manufacturer warranty. This Warranty does not apply to any product which is modified in any way or used on any installation or unit other than a residential property.
If you believe your product is defective, please return it and a copy of the dated sales receipt (Proof of Purchase) to the James Martin retailer where you purchased the product. You may also contact James Martin Customer Service at customercare@jamesmartinvanities.com, or by sending written notification to James Martin that a product may be defective within the applicable Warranty Period via mail at the address below.
This Warranty is limited to the correction of any such defect, replacement or credit, at the discretion of James Martin, not to exceed the original purchase price, and shall not include any installation or labor charges of any kind, except where mandated by law. This Warranty is conditioned upon the following: that (a) James Martin is notified in writing and provides consent to return the product(s) in question, (b) the product(s) is/are returned with proof or purchase date, and (c) upon return and inspection, the product(s) is/are found to be defective as noted above.
This Warranty does not cover any damage to the products due to external causes including without limitation: improper installation or operation, product abuse or misuse, or use of adverse or hazardous chemicals or abrasive cleaners containing alcohol or other solvents, acts of nature, physical damage, environmental conditions, or any other occurrences beyond the reasonable control of James Martin.
This Warranty is not applicable to any product which is marked, advertised or otherwise sold as “clearance” or “closeout” items.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS THE FULL EXTENT OF EXPRESS WARRANTIES PROVIDED BY JAMES MARTIN, AND JAMES MARTIN HEREBY DISCLAIMS ANY WARRANTY NOT EXPRESSLY PROVIDED HEREIN, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH RESPECT TO THE PRODUCTS COVERED HEREUNDER.
EXCEPT AS STATED IN THIS LIMITED WARRANTY, JAMES MARTIN FURTHER DISCLAIMS ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSSES, EXPENSES, INCONVENIENCES, AND SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OR RESULTING IN ANY MANNER FROM THE PRODUCTS COVERED HEREUNDER.
THIS LIMITED WARRANTY GIVES THE CLAIMANT SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM STATE TO STATE.

Stained and Painted Finishes
All of our stained finishes are blended, and have glaze top-coats. There can be huge variation. Color changes depending on wood species, oil-based vs. water based, etc. We are currently in the process of matching our painted finishes with local paint suppliers. |
Can I order Custom Sizes or Finishes?
Unfortunately, while we offer many ways to customize your unit with various top or stone options, we are unable to manufacture custom sizes or finishes on an individual basis. |
Wood Care
The bathroom can be one of the harshest and most unforgiving places for wood furniture. We have sealed and finished the vanity and backsplash but care and maintenance are imperative. The key point to remember is that any finish can be taken off. Thus, the use of harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, and the like can remove the finish leaving your items exposed to the elements. For dusting, use a soft-treated cloth or a feather or lamb’s wool duster. For further cleaning, you can use warm water with mild dish soap. Do not soak the wood but gently wipe using a soft cloth. Once clean, wipe off any residual moisture with a damp cloth. After a good cleaning, the best way to protect the finish is to use good-quality soft paste wax. Apply a thin coat as directed on the label. Wait five minutes and buff lightly with a soft (shoe) brush or cloth. Wait for another 30 to 60 minutes and buff/brush again with a bit more vigor. You'll see a beautiful shine return to the finish that will last for many months. Wood isn't hungry! You cannot feed furniture. No matter what the advertising says, wood cannot be fed or nourished or enriched with polishes or oils. Once it has a protective finish over it for beauty and protection, the wood is sealed. Polishes and oils will not penetrate it. |
