Model numbers for your Kingston Brass Products can be located in several different locations. Most sales receipts, order details, or invoices will contain the model number of your Kingston Brass product. The model number will also be located on the exterior packaging of your Kingston Brass product just above the barcode. Kingston Brass model numbers are alphanumeric, beginning with several letters followed, by a series of numbers, and ending with several more letters. (For example KS7798ALBS)

For single hole - With the single-hole faucet installation, there is no deck plate and accessory.

For two holes - One hole is for the single faucet and the second hole is reserved for accessories like
sprayers and soap dispensers.

For three holes - The center hole is for the faucet, the left hole is reserved for hot water handle and the
right hole is reserved for the cold water handle.

For four holes - Generally, the final hole is reserved for the sprayer or soap dispenser.

Kitchen sinks most commonly have between 1 and 4 holes drilled for use installing kitchen faucets and accessories, and they are rather simply named, sink holes.

3-hole sinks are the most common and are designed to accept a two-handle faucet and its spout. The 1-hole sinks are common as well and can accommodate to a single hole installation featuring a minimalist appearance.

The 4th hole in a 4-hole sink is usually used for an accessory, such as a side spray or soap dispenser, or it can also be used with an air gap for a dishwasher.

The standard diameter for sink holes is 1 3/8 inches, but some faucets and accessories require a 1 1/2 inch hole diameter. You can reference the faucet's specification sheet to see what diameters your project requires.

When the two outer sink holes of 3 (main) sink holes are drilled more than 6 inches apart, measured from the center of the left sink hole to the center of the right sink hole (ignoring the center hole), you will need to look for a widespread faucet. Widespread faucets can be installed on various centers up to 16” apart.

Always be sure to check the depth of the sink, distance between pre-existing holes, and spec on any faucet or accessory to be installed before purchasing or installing a faucet and certainly before drilling a fresh hole.

These helpers (disposal flange) provide you with an entirely new look for the sink. The design has already been made universal.

It will hook up to any 1-1/2" drain and fits 3-1/2" drain openings.

Hence, you will only need to pick the desired finish to match the theme you are looking for.

Before Installation

1. Unplug your garbage disposal from the power outlet
2. Make sure to remove any silverware or utensils from the sink

Installation Instructions

1. Disconnect the Garbage disposal from the drainpipe going to the “P” trap
2. Remove garbage disposal from the sink as per manufacturer’s instructions
3. Disassemble the mounting mechanism from the sink
4. Remove original Garbage disposal flange
5. Add a bead of silicone-based caulking to the underside of the new flange and insert it into the sink drain hole from the top
6. From below attach the mounting hardware and attach garbage disposal
7. Connect to drain pipe and plug the electrical cord
8. From above clean any excess caulking.

Most basket strainers are of standard size and fit most sink openings.
The standard for a kitchen sink is 3½" and 2" for bar sinks.

First, determine the number of holes and space prior to buying your faucet. The space is measured
from the hole center to hole center and available in single-hole, two-hole (usually 4”), three-hole (4”, 8” on
widespread models) and four-hole.

Secondly, determine the size of the spout. The spout should reach as close to the center of the sink as
possible and if you have multiple bowls, you may want to have the spout that can be rotated to provide
coverage for each one.

Lastly, determine the finish. Most Kingston Brass faucets are available in polished chrome, polished brass
(PVD), oil-rubbed bronze, satin nickel and selective two-tone finishes (Like polished chrome/polished brass,
satin nickel/polished brass).

Although your Kingston Brass Sink is manufactured From 304-grade stainless steel, which is one of the most corrosion-resistant types of steel in the industry, you should still pay close attention to its cleaning and maintenance to ensure the continued durability and beauty of your sink. It is the nature of stainless steel to have scratches and water spots however there are things that could be done to prevent major scratches and blemishes from developing.

Do’s

• The best way to maintain your sink is actually by cleaning it on a regular basis
• Towel dry frequently to prevent the accumulation of mineral deposits from building up on the surface of the sink, these mineral build-ups may appear as permanent water spots, if you do develop a build-up of minerals from the water, clean with a soft cloth dipped in vinegar, make sure to rinse well and dry with a clean paper towel.
• Clean your sink with a mild non-abrasive solution of soap and water, you can also sprinkle Baking soda on a soft sponge and rub gently (always in the direction of the grain), some regular household cleaners contain chlorides, or acidic compounds, try to select those cleaners which have a low chloride content.
• The use of a rubber mat will help protect the surface, however, if you do use a rubber mat, please remember to remove it daily as there is a possibility of bacteria growth under the mat.
• If you do develop minor scratches, try using a stronger non-abrasive cleanser such as Barkeepers friend or Franke’s 903 Inox Stainless Steel cleaner, Flitz, or Gordon’s Miracle Shine, if necessary you can use a Fine grade 3M Scotch Brite pad and any of the above cleaning compounds,  again make sure to rub in the direction of the grain, rinse thoroughly and towel dry when finished.

Don’ts

• Do not use steel wool when cleaning your sink, as it will leave residue of small Iron particles, these iron particles in time will develop into rust stains and blemish the beauty of your sink
• Do not leave steel or cast iron cookware in the sink
• Do not leave certain foods such as Pickles, mayonnaise, mustard, fruit, or juices in the sink as they contain citric acids which may corrode the protective coating of your sink.
• Do not use chlorine bleach, as chlorine attacks the protective coating that makes chlorine stainless

Both materials are equally excellent, as you are holding the fixture, you can notice the brass fixtures are heavier than stainless steel fixtures.

Brass - Brass is typically widely used for its great qualities, as much higher-end quality plumbing fixtures are produced by this material (also reflects within the pricing)

Brass is an alloy composed primarily of copper and zinc that may also contain small amounts of other metals. These additional constituents give the brass specific qualities for particular applications and vary by use of the end product. Overall, as a material brass is highly corrosion-resistant, extremely durable, and has greater workability than materials like stainless steel. This is to say, it lends itself well to forming into more detailed shapes for products like faucets and console vanity legs. Additionally, brass is a recyclable material and even has scrap value at the end of the service life of the finished product.

Stainless Steel - Stainless steel sinks present durable longevity as they are able to handle different kind of impacts and cleaning chemicals (just as resistant to rusts and corrosions as brass)

Stainless steel is a ferrous (iron-based) alloy with at least 10.5% chromium to provide oxidation resistance. Stainless steel is rust and corrosion resistant, highly durable, and offers excellent structural strength. Stainless steel offers these qualities at a lower weight than a comparable item manufactured from a material like brass. Finally, stainless steel can be recycled at the end of the product’s lifecycle. Unfortunately, the scrap or recycle value for stainless steel is quite low, but at the very least it does not have to go into a landfill.
