How To Control Your MrSteam System With Amazon Alexa When SteamLinx Is Installed

MrSteam residential steam shower systems now work with Amazon Alexa when SteamLinx is installed. You can “talk” to your steam shower through Alexa. Ask questions, get helpful answers or give basic commands on settings and functions.

What can you do?   Turn on your steam generator. Set the temperature. Set the duration. Turn off your steam generator. You can even ask Alexa questions. Is the steam generator on? How much time is left? What is the room temperature? What is the temperature set to?

Set up Amazon Alexa for your MrSteam System   First, make sure that your SteamLinx is installed and linked to your home WiFi network. Next, open the Amazon Alexa app and go to Skills & Games using the top left menu. Now search for and find the MrSteam SteamLinx skill. Once the skill appears, you just need to select it. The next step is to enable the skill by tapping the Enable button. The app will then prompt the login page of the SteamLinx app. Enter your SteamLinx credentials to link the skill to your MrSteam system. After you get to the successfully linked page, test the skill with your Alexa device.

Here's how to test:   Start by Saying: “Alexa, ask MrSteam to start the steam bath." “Alexa, ask MrSteam to stop the steam bath." “Alexa, ask MrSteam what the room temperature is set to." Note: Only one MrSteam system can be linked at a time. You will be prompted to select a MrSteam system if you have more than one associated with your SteamLinx account. If you have more than one, you will need to alternate between them by disabling the skill and re-enabling/linking it to one of the other spas. If the steps above did not work, verify that the correct account/skill/MrSteam system was used/selected. If they were, disable the skill and try linking it again.

Talking To Alexa   Here is your Alexa Commands Start the MrSteam Steam Generator "Alexa, ask MrSteam to start the steam bath." Stop the steam generator "Alexa, ask MrSteam to stop the steam bath." Set temperature "Alexa, ask MrSteam to set the temperature to X degrees." Set Duration "Alexa, ask MrSteam to set the time to Y minutes." Here are questions you can ask Alexa Steam Generator State "Alexa, ask MrSteam is the steam bath is on?." Duration "Alexa, ask MrSteam how much time is left." Steam Room Temperature (ambient) "Alexa, ask MrSteam what is the steam room temperature." Steam Room Set Point "Alexa, ask MrSteam what the room temperature is set to."

Your steam generator is the most important component of your steam shower. Protect your investment with AutoFlush. AutoFlush is a MrSteam exclusive product. It’s an automatic self-cleaning system that promotes a long, healthy life for steam generators by automatically flushing the generator of sediment two hours after every steambath.

We automate everything in the background, so no work is needed after every steam shower session. AutoFlush assures that you get clean steam every time.

The optional AutoFlush System feature automatically drains the MrSteam system following each use. A time delay allows the water to cool down (about two hours) before it drains by gravity for a safe and gentle operation.

Sitting under our e-SERIES Generators, the Condensation Pan protects from potential water escape. Just locate the condensation pan on a solid level surface and place the steam generator inside the condensation pan. Ensure the steam generator is level as condensation pan drains by gravity.

Limited Warranty for Mr.Steam® Residential Steambath Controls and Accessories Installed in the United States and Canada.

Mr.Steam® warrants that its MR.STEAM RESIDENTIAL STEAMBATH CONTROLS AND ACCESSORIES, installed in the United States or Canada including without limitation: iTempo™, Tempo/Plus™, iSteam®, AudioWizard™, SteamGenie® , iGenie™, AromaSteam, ChromaSteam®, MusicTherapy® In-Shower Speakers, MS Light, HomeWizard®, Drip Pan, Wall Mounted Steam/Shower Seats, and AutoFlush® automatic drain valves (collectively, Mr.Steam Controls and Accessories), are free from defects in materials and workmanship for two year from the date of purchase by the original consumer purchaser. Mr.Steam will repair or replace (at its option) Mr.Steam Controls and Accessories if they fail to conform to this limited warranty. All warranty work will be performed without charge when the Mr.Steam Control and Accessory is returned to the location designated by Mr.Steam within 2 years of the date of purchase.

All freight charges must be pre-approved by Mr.Steam. This warranty applies only to Controls and Accessories purchased on or after January 1st, 2013. The foregoing is in lieu of all express or implied warranties. There are no warranties which extend beyond the description contained herein and specifically liability for any breach of any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is excluded.
